Painting Playboy: The Paintings
The Painting Playboy icon collection of artwork consists of 64 unique spray paint and silkscreen on canvas paintings, highlighting the classic Playboy Rabbit Head logo. Each painting is 16 x 12 inches, signed and numbered starting with the year of the first magazine that was published in 1953.

Burton has always had a strong affinity for social and corporate icons. Having a background early in his career as a graphic designer, he was schooled in the power of a logo and the strength this visual shorthand can project.
His recent creative adventures have led him to celebrate the power of iconic brands. These mixed-media explorations pair his well known visual style with the icons—aggressively pushing the limits of their visual comprehension. Even with this significant manipulation, Burton reveals the psychological power a well-known icon can continue to occupy in our subconscious.
His 100-piece series for the 100th anniversary of the classic Coca-Cola bottle in 2015, “Coke 100” was a huge success, and quickly sold out at the New York premiere. He has been selected over the years to reinterpret many diverse brands in his colorful and energetic style. Clients include Chanel, Ford, Heinz, Shake Shack, Kellogg’s, Absolut, along with many others over the years.
Canvas, spray paint, stencils, silkscreen, acrylic, diamond dust... painstakingly added layer by layer until a series of one-of-a-kind paintings emerge. The latest in Burton's current ongoing tributes to the world's most iconic companies—his fresh interpretations of the Playboy brand take on a multi-layered, textural style—one that continues to evolve and push into new visual frontiers.
